Tehran-Sana

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh reiterated today his country's rejection of negotiating a new text of the nuclear agreement with the West, pointing out that the negotiations that will take place in the Austrian capital Vienna will be within the framework of the concluded agreement.

"If the West was serious about nuclear negotiations, former US President Donald Trump would not have dared to insult him," Khatibzadeh was quoted by the Iranian news agency IRNA as saying during a press conference today, noting that Germany is one of the countries that has not fulfilled its commitments within the framework of the nuclear agreement.

Regarding the visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian to Syria, Khatibzadeh said that “Iranian-Syrian relations entered a strategic and distinguished phase for many years and have great dimensions, and that most of the issues discussed during the visit were follow-up to important projects.”

Regarding Iranian relations with neighboring countries, Khatibzadeh indicated that dialogue with Saudi Arabia can lead to ensuring security and stability in the region, pointing out that there is continuous communication with the Saudi side and that negotiations have reached a more serious stage.
