At about 4 pm today (11th), the police received a report that an old man called for help in a unit of Yin Tak House, Yin Lai Court, Lai King Shan Road, Kwai Chung.
Afterwards, the police tried to contact the informant again to no avail, so they went to investigate the situation and called in firefighters to help break into the house. They were shocked to reveal that the unit was covered with blood. A 71-year-old man had multiple stab wounds on his body and was in a coma. Awake.
The ambulance immediately rushed the old man to Princess Margaret Hospital for rescue.
The police blocked the entrance and exit of the building for investigation and later arrested a 31-year-old man and seized 2 fruit knives on his body.
The arrested man was covered with a black cloth and handcuffed, and was sent to hospital by ambulance for treatment.
The police also contacted the old man's wife to assist in the investigation.
The old man’s wife was sitting in the hospital crying while his family was comforting.
