The Social Aid Fund sets the date for accepting applications for those wishing to benefit from popular credit loans

The National Fund for Social Aid announced the start of receiving applications for those wishing to benefit from the Fund’s support to obtain loans from the People’s Credit Bank to finance the establishment of their own project or the development of their existing project as of next Thursday in the Fund’s branches in the governorates of Damascus and its countryside, Homs, Hama, Aleppo, Lattakia, Tartous, Sweida and Quneitra.

In a circular addressed to the Fund’s branches in the governorates, the Director General of the Fund, Louay Aranji, explained the importance of explaining the purpose of microfinance loans to those applying to the Fund, the conditions and criteria for obtaining them, the categories that will be granted funding and the required documents, including a document proving the category in which the applicant falls, namely the wounded and families. Martyrs, displaced families and returnees from displacement who have lost all their assets, host families, the neighborhood poor, individuals who work temporary or seasonal jobs, vulnerable groups of people with disabilities who have lost their breadwinner, families headed by women, entrepreneurs, those demobilized from the service of science who are accepted into their support and empowerment program, and those who are laid off as a result of a non-caused illness or injury For military operations and demobilized persons who became breadwinners as a result of the death or martyrdom of the breadwinner or any other cause.

According to the circular, the data of applicants who meet the conditions and criteria are entered by providing a guarantee and submitting the special document that proves the category that includes the applicant, then preparing a table of applicants and sending it to the branch of the Credit Bank, with the table being sent electronically to the fund management.

Earlier today, the People's Credit Bank issued instructions for granting loans to finance micro-enterprises at the interest rate supported by the National Social Aid Fund, provided that the bank's branches begin receiving nomination letters from the fund and loan requests as of the first official working day of next week.
