A 33-year-old is said to have injured at least three people during a violent foray through downtown Mainz.
According to witnesses, he repeatedly insulted other guests in a restaurant on Friday evening, the police said on Monday.
When one of the guests spoke to him about it, he is said to have thrown a glass in the direction and hit a 15-year-old.
Mainz - He and his companion then left the restaurant without paying, which is why an employee followed them.
The man is said to have grabbed the head and hit a metal trash can.
The employee then had to be treated in a hospital.
