Experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) recommend that people over 60 who have been injected with Kexing and Sinopharm vaccines should receive a third dose of the new coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) vaccine.
The Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE) stated, "For Sinopharm and Kexing inactivated vaccines, an additional (third dose) homologous vaccine should be provided to people over 60. The WHO announced on June 1 that the new crown pneumonia vaccine of China Kexing was included in the "emergency use list", becoming the second Chinese vaccine approved by the WHO.
The WHO recommends that Kexing vaccine be used for people over 18 years of age.
