Those who have used the microwave oven after October 4 need to be quarantined.
The CHP also stated that it has performed genetic analysis for the patient’s sample, but the patient’s viral genetic sequence is different from the confirmed case recorded earlier in Hong Kong, and it has also been found that no genetic sequence uploaded by overseas countries is consistent with this case.

The center believes that the sample is likely to be contaminated by the patient.
The center said that employees who have touched the microwave oven will be arranged for compulsory quarantine. If someone has used the microwave oven after October 4, the person concerned will be quarantined.
No close contacts have been diagnosed
In addition, the Center for Health Protection has arranged for close contacts of the patient and related household contacts to undergo isolation and quarantine. Currently, no related preliminary confirmed or confirmed cases have been recorded.

Genetic sequencing is closer to cases in Europe, South Korea and the United States
The Centre for Health Protection also pointed out that it also conducts genetic analysis on samples of individual cases.
The results showed that the genetic sequence of the patients was different from the confirmed cases recorded earlier in Hong Kong.
In addition, the Public Health Laboratory Service also compared the genetic sequence of the case with the existing genetic sequence of the online gene bank (GISAID) and found that no genetic sequence uploaded by overseas countries matched this case.
However, the genetic sequence of the case is closer to the genetic sequence of confirmed cases in Europe, South Korea, and the United States.
