The modeling agent, Shai Avital, who claimed at the beginning of the investigation, in which he is suspected of committing sexual offenses in 27 complainants, that he would return to Israel immediately as soon as he was summoned, sent a letter to police today (Tuesday) stating conditions for his return On bail.
As stated, the letter was sent to a friend of Avital's defense attorneys, Shashi Gaz and Sharon Nahari, in which they demand that Avital be allowed to meet with them in their office before the investigation.
In the letter, they claim to the Tel Aviv police that there is no fear of disrupting an investigation due to the fact that it has been some time since all the complainants completed their testimony and therefore there is no point in holding him in custody.
About a week and a half ago, after the central unit of the Tel Aviv district collected all the evidence against the modeling agent Shai Avital, they approached him through his defense attorneys and his sister and summoned him for questioning and asked him to return to Israel.
During the interrogation, suspicions against him will be leveled against him.
The range of offenses itself is wide in the area of sex offenses.
Now that all the evidence has been collected, the police estimate that about half of them have managed to establish a solid evidentiary infrastructure, after receiving complaints and WhatsApp messages from the complainants.
The investigation itself was accompanied by an accompanying attorney from the State Attorney's Office, who reviewed all the materials the investigators had collected and instructed them regarding the completion of the investigation and the collection of additional evidence in order to strengthen the evidentiary infrastructure against Avital.
The testimonies were first published on TV shows and soon the police opened an investigation and dozens of complainants came to the police who claimed that Avital, one of the most prominent agents in the industry representing reputed and prominent models in the country like Neta Alchemister, Esti Ginzburg, Coral Simnovich and many more, Women who would come to him for professional meetings.
Avital left the country before the investigations against him were broadcast.
He has previously denied any connection to the suspicions against him and claimed that it was a pre-planned trip and as soon as the police summon him for questioning he will return to Israel, but now it turns out that his return is conditional.
