Extortionate kidnapping, coercion, assault, insult, damage to property: the list of allegations against a 26-year-old is long.
Now the trial against him begins in Cologne.
Cologne - A 26-year-old man will stand before the Cologne district court from this Wednesday (9:30 a.m.) for deprivation of liberty, extortionate kidnapping, coercion, bodily harm, insult and damage to property.
The man is said to have had a relationship with the victim since July 2020.
Shortly before the accused was taken to prison, the couple made a trip to Cologne from Kiel in August 2020, a court spokesman said.
The 26-year-old is said to have locked, hit, bitten and kicked the woman in a hotel room.
The prosecution also accuses the 26-year-old of forcing the woman to pay the hotel bill of 600 euros under threat of violence.
