Three people were killed and a fourth injured today when they were run over by a train in the town of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, in southern France.
The Associated Press quoted French police as saying that "the four people who were run over were present on the railway tracks as it was crossing, killing three of them and injuring a fourth seriously."
It is not yet known why the four were lying on the train tracks, while investigations into the accident have begun.
