A number of poets from members of the Arab Writers Union and teachers participated in the poetry festival, which was held by the Poetry Society of the Arab Writers Union in cooperation with the Union of Teachers, with different poetic forms and topics dominated by a sense of patriotism and the October memory, in addition to social topics.

Poet Munir Al-Khalaf, member of the Executive Office of the Arab Writers Union, recited two poems in which he was limited to the poetry of the two halves and to presenting new intellectual visions concerning social development and calling for love.

Poet Eman Moussalli varied between the two parts and prose in her texts that she recited and glorified the Syrian Arab Army and its victories and expressed the importance of Tishreen and writing about it.

Poet Helena Atallah, rapporteur of the Poetry Society of the Arab Writers Union, delivered a text in the style of the two halves. She considered that the martyr is the most important thing we should imitate, and it is renewed in us until the liberation of all usurped lands.

The poet Jamal al-Qujah in al-Sham sang a well-balanced poem that he delivered with sincere emotion, recounting the history of Damascus’s struggle and the impact of history on the hearts of successive societies and their ability to withstand.

And the poet Ibrahim Abbas Yassin, head of the Daraa branch of the Arab Writers Union, recited a poem full of human philosophy and an expression of the difficulty of injustice and the necessity of love between people.

In her texts, the poet Rod Marzouk sang the love of the Levant and the martyr and the necessity of immortalizing him, in addition to the concern for conscience, love and loyalty among people.

In a poem, the poet Samir al-Matrood called for adherence to the covenant, not treachery, and the necessity of sanctifying martyrdom and the Levant, as it is a symbol of struggle and resistance and confronting the aggressors through time.

And the poet Ghadeer Ismail explained in his poetic text that no one can reach Damascus' glory, which is the great beauty.

The poet Lina Hamdan drew in her text to human concerns and dreams that must be pursued and the need for social and human solidarity with some sorrows in the text.

The poet Samar Taghli explained the pains we live in in the shadow of lies and conspiracy and called for the defense of dignity, considering that Tishreen is an important literary symbol that must always be mentioned in addition to singing in the Levant.

Poet Mujib Al-Sousi, Secretary of the Idlib Branch of the Arab Writers Union, Damascus seemed the most precious thing in his life through his well-balanced poetry, then spoke about contradictions, murder, injustice and treachery in the shadow of conspiracies.

In his speech, the head of the Arab Writers Union, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hourani, drew attention to the union's determination to continue cooperating with the Teachers' Syndicate, and this phenomenon supports the personality of the intellectual and develops the love of culture in the student.

In his speech, the head of the Teachers Syndicate, Waheed Al-Zaal, considered the step of cooperation between writers and teachers, which will be reflected in the revitalization of cultural action.

In turn, the Syndicate of Damascus Teachers pointed out the importance of cooperation between the teacher and the writer, stressing that it is one of the most important phenomena of development.

The festival was moderated by the teacher Fatima Sawan, and it included forms of poetry and was distinguished by humanity and patriotism.
