Anthony Parker Appointed Assistant General Manager at Orlando Magic | Israel today

One of the greatest acquisition players in the history of Maccabi Tel Aviv and has worked for the last four years as the professional manager of the club's development team, will work alongside John Hammond


A new and prestigious job for one of the greatest purchasing players in the history of Maccabi Tel Aviv.

This is Anthony Parker, eight nights (Monday through Tuesday) as Orlando Magic's Assistant General Manager.

The 46-year-old Parker, who will be subordinate to John Hammond who has been in the job since 2017, has served for the past four years as the professional manager of the Lakeland Magic Development League team (the club’s development team), which even led to the championship last season.

Earlier, in his first job in the best league in the world (2012-2017) he served as the chief scout of the Orlando Magic.

As you may recall, Parker, who won three European titles with Maccabi Tel Aviv, later managed to play for the Toronto Raptors and Cleveland Cavaliers until his retirement in 2012.

"Anthony Parker is one of the most successful general managers in the history of the Development League," read the farewell announcement by Lakeland Magic.

"This is a legend in the Lakeland Magic and he will forever remain part of the family."
