After a barn went up in flames in the Saalekreis on Monday afternoon, the fire brigade is now assuming the cause of the fire to be arson.
A 19-year-old suspect was provisionally arrested on Tuesday night, according to a fire department spokesman.
The man is in police custody and his fate will be decided during the day.
