British media apologized today for publishing fabricated news about the Sputnik vaccine against Corona, in which it alleges that Russia stole its formula from the British company AstraZenec.

Russia Today website quoted the Russian Direct Investment Fund as saying that the Daily Express was the first to remove the false accusatory article from its website and published an apology in its place, which stated: “It came to our knowledge that this report about the theft of the vaccine was a lie because the information about the inventor of the vaccine (Sputnik in) information to the public.”

For its part, "The Sun" confirmed that the information published in its article was wrong and apologized, saying: "We are pleased to clarify and publish a statement from the Russian Direct Investment Fund."

Yesterday, the Russian Fund for Direct Investments rejected the allegations of the British newspaper “The Sun” that the formula for the Russian vaccine against the Corona virus “Sputnik V” had been stolen.

It is noteworthy that the “Sputnik V” vaccine, developed by the Russian Gamalya Research Center, has become the first registered anti-Coronavirus vaccine in the world, and the Russian Fund for Direct Investments oversees the marketing of the vaccine globally.
