The driver of the container truck was trapped and unconscious. Several drivers witnessed the situation and called the police for help.
The firefighter arrived at the scene to start rescue and dispatched 5 ambulances on alert.
The driver was rescued by firefighters, unconscious and rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital for emergency treatment.
A cam video of the car at the time of the incident circulated on the Internet. It can be seen in the film that the container truck was driving along Hongtian Road towards Yuen Long Highway. Then the whole car turned to the right and turned to the roadside hillside.
A large amount of white smoke emerged at the scene.
In another video, a driver stopped to take pictures of the front of a container truck. It was seen that the front was severely damaged. The filmmaker kept screaming: "Oh, it's a big wok, a driver just cheers in."

The Transport Department stated at 4:27 pm that due to a traffic accident, the only lane of the slip road leading from Hung Tin Road to Yuen Long Highway (toward Tuen Mun) has now been closed.
In addition, the only lane of the slip road leading from Yuen Long Highway to Hung Tin Road (toward Tuen Mun) is now closed.
