In the early hours of the morning, some residents of Sha Tin also noticed that the seawater of the Shing Mun River in Sha Tin was surging on the footpath.

Some members and residents estimated that the water level would reach the highest between 1 and 2 am, but residents generally believed that the flooding situation would not be too serious.
