The Observatory predicts that the outer rainbands will bring showers and squally winds to Hong Kong tonight. The local winds will also strengthen further. Tomorrow will blow east to northeasterly winds of 7 to 8, and offshore and highlands will occasionally be 10 winds. It will not return to east wind until evening. Level 6.

Under the combined influence of the compass and the northeast monsoon, strong winds generally blow along the coast of Guangdong, and gale winds blow occasionally off shore and highlands.
As the compass gradually approaches the coast of Guangdong, its outer rainbands will bring showers and squalls to Hong Kong tonight, and the local winds will further strengthen.
In the past hour, Tate’s Cairn, Waglan Island and Cheung Chau recorded the highest sustained wind speeds of 79, 64 and 53 kilometers per hour respectively, and the highest gusts were 95, 77 and 78 kilometers per hour respectively.
