As part of the national campaign activities for the month of awareness of early detection of breast cancer, the Association of Martyr Amin Al-Najjar, affiliated to the Revolutionary Youth Union branch, in cooperation with the Daraa Health Directorate, today launched an awareness campaign for secondary school students and women that will last for a whole week.
The campaign includes the distribution of brochures, health lectures and educational seminars within the libraries of schools and health centers, all of which talk about the importance of health care and early detection of breast cancer.
Dr. Aida Al-Talib, Head of the Reproductive Health Division in the Directorate of Health, stressed the importance of early detection of breast cancer, pointing out the steps to be followed when suspected of cancer through self-examination with radiography and breast echocardiography.
Secretary of the Association of Martyr Amin Al-Najjar Dia Al-Din Al-Saeed pointed out the importance of the campaign in educating female students within schools, indicating that the campaign will include about 18 secondary schools for girls within the city of Daraa.
