Defense Minister Ganz: "We have developed technological tools in the face of Iran's attempts to reach a nuclear" Israel today

Defense Minister Bnei Gantz announced today (Tuesday) at a conference of the Jerusalem Post that the defense establishment has developed technological and operational tools that will ensure Israel's security in the face of Iran's attempts to reach a nuclear bomb.

"Israel is one of the countries in the world over which an existential threat is constantly hovering, which Iran is trying to build," said Minister Ganz.

"I reiterate that Iran continues to be a global and regional challenge first, and only then a threat to Israel. The Iranian threat is not a future threat but is developing these days, and I call on the international community to take action now."

Gantz also referred to cyberspace, saying: "Through technology and innovation, we develop defense and attack capabilities against our enemies, in all dimensions, including cyber, and thwart attempts to harm Israeli citizens. Only through innovation, only if we are two steps ahead, and combine all civilian and security capabilities "We can maintain supremacy in this area and prevent cyber terrorism. This is a vital need for Israel's security, and we are constantly engaged in learning, prevention, and developing the required capabilities as in any other battlefield." 

Ganz on the attack in Yitzhar: "Serious incident, full backing for the fighters"  

Meanwhile, in the wake of the attack by border fighters by settlers, Ganz referred to the incident when he said, "This is a serious incident, which will not be on the agenda." He said this during a visit to the 98th Division. 

"Tonight, Israeli residents attacked Border Patrol fighters," the minister said.

The Minister also referred to the recent incidents in which IDF soldiers were involved in the harvest events: "With the opening of the harvest season, I make it clear that we will have zero tolerance for any violence for the safety of all residents of the area.

"Unfortunately, there have also been isolated cases of IDF soldiers deviating from the orders. Any such deviation is addressed and investigated in depth. I trust the IDF soldiers and commanders and all the forces that will continue to fulfill their operational mission according to IDF values ​​and in accordance with guidelines."
