The Tel Aviv Central Investigation Unit today (Tuesday) uncovered a tunnel the size of an acre and a half underground in the Rishon Lezion area, which serves as a laboratory worth about NIS 15 million.
Police have arrested seven residents of the center as 30-year-olds, who are suspected of operating the compound and growing and producing drugs under laboratory conditions on a huge scale.
She intends to ask the court tomorrow to extend her detentions, according to the needs of the investigation and its findings.
The tunnel was located by police forces after an undercover investigation lasting several months.

During the raid on the site, thousands of seedlings were confiscated, as well as a lot of equipment used for growing and producing drugs, while all the findings were transferred for further extraction of evidence in the forensic laboratories of the Israel Police.
In the huge tunnel, drugs were grown using the hydro method in which the plants are grown in a substrate detached from the soil.
