At about 3 pm today (12th), a traffic accident occurred on Hong Tin Road in Tin Shui Wai towards Yuen Long Highway. A container truck overturned after hitting a bend and the container even turned to a hillside.
The driver of the container truck was trapped and unconscious. Several drivers witnessed the situation and called the police for help.
The firefighter arrived at the scene to start rescue and dispatched 5 ambulances on alert.
The Transport Department stated at 4:27 pm that due to a traffic accident, the only lane of the slip road leading from Hung Tin Road to Yuen Long Highway (toward Tuen Mun) has now been closed.
In addition, the only lane of the slip road leading from Yuen Long Highway to Hung Tin Road (toward Tuen Mun) is now closed.
Motorists please consider using other roads.
