A previously unknown driver hit an eight-year-old child in Berlin and then left it seriously injured.
The boy came to a hospital with a broken pelvis and several fractures on his face, the police said on Tuesday.
The car caught the child on Monday afternoon when he overtook another car in a residential area on Schleusinger Strasse in Marzahn.
Berlin - According to the information, the boy was about to cross the street.
The unknown driver then drove on towards Blumberger Damm and did not stop to look after the child.
In the course of the ongoing investigation, the police are now looking for witnesses.
