Going to school in a yurt, going out every day in the forest, using dry toilets… this is not common, especially in the middle of Beauce….
Yet it is the daily life of the twenty or so toddlers that the school of "small explor'actors" welcomes, the first Montessori-inspired establishment in Eure-et-Loir which opened a year ago in Shiny, at the gates of Chartres.
Its founder and manager, Morgane Planchon, now sees her work rewarded.
This 35-year-old Chartraine, who for more than ten years has forged an experience in animation, social centers, parenting support has just won the Coup de cœur prize of the regional competition for entrepreneurship by women, organized by France Active, and a second prize in the “Committed and united” category.
Students go to school in an 80 m2 yurt that can accommodate 28 children.

This adventure began in 2018. The young woman, marked by the painful experience of cancer, discovers herself as "an entrepreneurial soul" and decides "to help children from an early age to become constructed and human beings. solid ”.
She created an association that will lead to the realization of this Montessori school project at the start of the 2020 school year.
Tuition at 4,500 euros per year
In the meantime, there were plenty of difficulties, in the midst of a health crisis: finding land, developing a business plan, approaching banks and partners to complete the financing (150,000 euros), building the school, with the lowest possible impact on the environment, and build the team.
At the start of the school year, there were twelve enrolled, aged three to six, with tuition billed at 4,500 euros per year.
There are now 21 of the 28 that the school can accommodate.
And already new projects are emerging, including the construction of a second yurt, for older students, up to CE2.
