A female police officer suspected that she had used the police system dishonestly in 2018 to obtain internal police information.
The police revealed the incident during an internal investigation and arrested her last Thursday (October 7). After consulting legal advice, she was charged with a crime of using a computer with a criminal or dishonest intent. The case will appear in West Kowloon Magistracy tomorrow morning (13th).
According to sources, the female police officer involved was stationed at the Ma On Shan Police Station and was suspected of logging onto the computer of the police force to check other people's information.
The police stated that the female police officer had been suspended from her post and emphasized that the police force attaches great importance to personnel ethics.
