A remake of the hero of the novel is due to hit the cinemas next summer - and will take the film crew to various locations in Saxony-Anhalt.

After shooting dates on Usedom, in the Harz Mountains and Löbejün, the last scenes of the film should finally be shot in Ostrau Castle (Saalekreis).
The stories of the clumsy “Alfons” are among the best-known children's literature, especially in the East - they were even school material in the GDR.
The regional level of awareness is also reflected in the number of visitors to the “Zitterbacke” film from 2019: It went much better in the east than in the west, according to Kellerhals.
"However, it was also received very positively by the public in West Germany."
"I have always found this figure fascinating because there was nothing comparable in West German children's literature," said Kellerhals - who comes from West Germany - her fascination with the figure "Alfons Zitterbacke".

In the new film "Alfons Zitterbacke - Chaos on the Class Trip", the character's layout is still strongly aligned with the original "Alfons".
