Hans Well and the Wellbappn are among the best that Bavaria has to offer in terms of music cabaret.

Now father Well (68) and his children Sarah (30), Tabea (28) and Jonas (25) have been playing in the western district for a long time.

Adelshofen - To celebrate its anniversary, SV Adelshofen presents the four on Friday, October 15, in the multi-purpose hall (beginning at 8 p.m.).

In an interview, Hans Well reveals what connects him with the 50-year-old club, how he got through the Corona period with his musical family and what life feels like as a new grandfather.

Mr. Well, what can the audience in Adelshofen look forward to?

A cross-section of songs on various topics that also affect the realities of life in Adelshofen and are suitable for being treated in an absurd, funny way.

Of course, there are also songs on the subject of football.

I have a special relationship with SV Adelshofen because I used to play in the senior team there myself.

What memories do you have of that time?

I felt very comfortable in the team.

My teammates were all a class better than me and pulled me along.

Unforgettable was a game in which 22 men - including the players of the opposing team - searched the grass for my lost contact lenses.

We actually found them, but I continued to play just as blindly as before.

By the way, my football pass is still in Adelshofen.

I would allow the club that someday someone would come and pay a huge fee for me.

That footballers, like cheese and wine, get better with age, you can see in players like Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic (laughs).

How do the appearances start again after the Corona period?

In August we had three open-air performances, and on October 3rd we played during the Week of Democracy in Passau.

In the district, the appearance in Adelshofen is the first in a long time.

It has only been clear for a few days that it can take place in this form (260 viewers, 3G, editor's note).

You can say that things are looking up, but the audience is still very cautious.

Habits have changed.

It used to be quite normal to go to events.

That broke away for a year and a half.

I am happy that you can now sit in the auditorium without a mask again.

At the end of July we had a gig in Lindau, in front of a masked audience.

That was terrible, no reaction was seen.

Like playing in cotton wool.

Did you make a lot of music and write new songs during the lockdowns?

We have repeatedly posted videos with songs on current topics, for example the mask scandal.

It was important to continue working together, if only so as not to lose the artistic connection to current events.

During the first lockdown, ten of us lived under one roof as an extended family for five weeks.

It wasn't at all unusual for me, but it was for my children's companions (laughs).

You and your wife became grandparents for the first time this year ...

In India (the home of Wells wife Sabeeka, editor's note) they say Nana and Nani, that sounds much more relaxed (laughs).

Yes, my daughter Sarah has an eight month old baby.

Since she absolutely wants to continue to play with us, little Theresa is always with us at our performances and is breastfed behind the stage during the break.

Recently we were all on vacation with the little one.

It's a nice new attitude towards life, so much more relaxed than it used to be when your own children were small.

Have you already bought your granddaughter's first instrument?

For the time being she is still using her body instruments.

She claps and slaps that it's a pleasure.

I guess she'll be a drummer.

She likes two- and three-part singing, alphorn or tuba, so you can calm her down immediately.

Or with folk dances.

If you carry them around and do folk dance steps, the worst mood is gone.
