Hertha BSC confirms separation from managing director Schmidt

Bundesliga soccer team Hertha BSC and managing director Carsten Schmidt have agreed to terminate the contract. The club announced on Tuesday. The “Tagesspiegel” had previously reported that Schmidt was leaving the club after less than a year for personal reasons. According to Hertha, sports director Fredi Bobic and finance director Ingo Schiller will take over the duties of the 58-year-old.
