Hildegard Heindl had tied a heart and decorated a coat of arms for the tenth anniversary of the tradition of decorating the Mainburg town hall with a wreath of hops.
Now the time had finally come:

and adorned it with the coat of arms

. She was accompanied to the handover by the hop ambassador Marianne Huber, who donated the hops for it.
"Unfortunately, I couldn't help with the binding this time because the hop harvest began later after a hesitant start to the season and therefore took longer," explains the Steinbacher. The idea arose parallel to the Hopfensiegelfest a decade ago, when the two women presented the first wreath to the mayor at the time, Josef Reiser. "This wreath adorns the large conference room year after year and delights all visitors," emphasizes town hall chief Helmut Fichtner, who is chairman of the Hallertau seal communities. "He always has a place of honor with us." After the handover, the conversation turned to the unusual events of the "Hop Year".
So up to now no meeting of the seal communities has been possible.
If the catch-up date is as soon as possible, however, a future hop seal festival will certainly be a topic.
Hildegard Heindl as the initiator of the festival would think it would be nice if the festival were to take place in all seal communities in the medium term.
"I am confident that it will be possible again next year." Mayor Helmut Fichtner as chairman of the seal communities has already assured his support in the committee.
