Melania Trump has been invisible since Donald Trump was voted out of office.
She has no ambitions to continue to support her husband politically, reports an insider.
Florida - Melania Trump has been looking at her future in the White House for the past few days, the Washington Post wrote at the end of Donald Trump's term in office - while her husband only raged over the past.
But what future did Melania Trump have in mind - apart from the choice of her son's new school?
If the American people hoped for answers via social media and post-First Lady images, they would be disappointed.
There is silence on Melania Trump's social media channels.
"Let us never forget the innocent who lost their lives here - and think of the selfless who became heroes here," wrote Melania on her Instagram account on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
But here too: No photos from family life, like long before and until now.
Melania Trump: Joe Biden's wife back on the cover of Vogue
Unlike Melania Trump, her successor in the White House, Joe Biden's wife and new first lady Jill Biden, got a cover photo on the renowned fashion magazine Vogue *.
The editorial staff had previously only suspended this tradition during the Trump administration.
Did that annoy the fashion-conscious Melania?
Nobody knows the answer.
"She didn't feel like going to the White House from the start, and that hasn't changed now," said CNN journalist Kate Bennett.
She spoke to friends of the Trumps, who said that Melania Trump was just happy to be more of a mother again.
"And she has absolutely no interest in supporting her husband in his plans for further political goals," said Blanchett with a view to a possible candidacy of Donald Trump in the US elections in 2024.
Melania Trump: Separation from Donald Trump after serving as First Lady?
Will she just stay with him until Trump is no longer president?
This question had been discussed extensively in the US before and after the election.
The speculations were fed by images of the presidential couple, who made public appearances with rigid facial features and a large distance.
And even at two crucial times for her husband, Melania is said to have shown no sympathy for her husband's life, according to the US press.
As CNN reports, the First Lady slept through most of the election night - and had to be woken up for Donald Trump's speech.
When the spokeswoman at the time, Stephanie Grisham, asked if Melania wanted to call for a peaceful demonstration on January 6th (the day of the storm on the Capitol), she simply replied "No".
Most recently, Melania was seen in New York in the Trump Towers - at the same time as her husband was visiting New York.
"They lead independent lives, but they talk to each other," said CNN insider Blanchett.
