Allgäu - The Bergwacht Oberstdorf rescued a father and his son from the two-country via ferrata.
They were cold and exhausted.
On Monday at 1 p.m., the Oberstdorf mountain rescue service was called to a frightened 13-year-old on the two-country via ferrata.
Two mountain rescuers were picked up at the depot by the requested rescue helicopter "Christoph 17".
After the first mountain rescuer had been dropped off directly with the boy using a winch, it turned out that the 13-year-old's father could no longer continue and needed help.
This was cooled down and exhausted due to the autumn temperatures.
Father and son unharmed
The son was set down at the pulpit wall and looked after.
The second mountain rescuer took the father out of the path in another approach.
Since father and son were unharmed, they were able to continue their descent with the Kanzelwandbahn.
