As first reported in "Israel Today", Nadav Zilberstein has been appointed assistant coach of the Israel national team and will work on Guy Goodes' team together with Dror Cohen, who remains in his position.

The scout will play the role of Yoav Shamir, the assistant coach at Bnei Herzliya.

For Zilberstein (47) this will not be a first position in the basketball association.

He has served as head coach of the cadet team and the under-14 team and as an assistant coach on the youth team.

Upon his appointment, Zilberstein said: "I want to thank Guy Goodes and the members of the Basketball Association for the trust. It is a great privilege for me to be part of the Israeli team and I will do everything to help the team succeed in the tasks it faces."

This completes the team.

The team manager remains Motti Daniel, fitness coach Rimon Yavzuri, doctor Dr. Niv Triangle, physiotherapist Ido Dana, farm man Yossi Shai.

The team will convene on Monday 22.11 and three days later will host Poland in the first team of the 2023 World Cup qualifiers at the Shlomo team hall. The next day this team will take off for Estonia, where it will meet the local team on Sunday 28.11.
