In a school bus accident on a country road near Queis (Saalekreis), according to the latest information, 35 people were injured, including 33 children.
With these figures, the police on Tuesday corrected the information made on Monday upwards.
Nine injured children and two injured adults were initially reported.
Queis - The police announced that the school bus collided with a van at an intersection that morning.
The bus driver disregarded the right of way of the other vehicle, said a police spokeswoman in Merseburg.
The 41-year-old driver of the van was seriously injured in the collision between the two vehicles.
The 61-year-old bus driver and 33 children from the bus were slightly injured.
