Mathilde Panot, 32, was already vice-president of this very active group of 17 deputies, created in 2017 at the start of the legislature and comprising elected representatives with various profiles, from Adrien Quatennens to François Ruffin via Eric Coquerel and Caroline Fiat.

Mélenchon, elected from Bouches-du-Rhône, has already been a candidate for the Élysée twice.

For 2022, it is the only one on the left for the time being to exceed 10% in some polls.

After a shock televised debate in September between Mélenchon and the far-right polemicist Eric Zemmour, putative presidential candidate, the Insoumis are planning on the presentation of their final program, on October 16 and 17 in Reims.
