The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed its rejection of the "brazen" US accusations that Moscow was using gas supplies as a pressure tool.
Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said today, commenting on statements made by representatives of the US administration that Moscow uses gas supplies as a tool for pressure, this is shameless and shameless words in which they continue to repeat such accusations as a broken cylinder... We have never used energy supplies as a means of pressure, RIA Novosti news agency quoted Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov as saying.
Ryabkov pointed out that the accusations against Russia, which are widely circulated, are only part of a media war that the West continues to wage against Moscow in many directions.
"They will continue to accuse us of everything, but Moscow is constantly working to stabilize the energy market," Ryabkov added.
Gas prices on the European continent have risen significantly recently, prompting Washington to accuse Moscow of being responsible for that, which Russia strongly denied.
