Four people, "
potentially migrants
" according to AFP, were lying on the rails Tuesday, October 12 in the morning in the town of Ciboure, at the exit of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, when a TER hit them, according to BFMTV which quotes SNCF.
A first assessment reports three deaths while the fourth person is seriously injured and suffers from a broken leg, according to AFP.
The three deceased people are of legal age but their identity has not yet been determined, the prosecution said.

The traffic was interrupted for a while but traffic gradually resumed from 8:15 am and the trains are moving very slowly in the area where the accident took place
," said a spokesperson for the SNCF.
An investigation of flagrance is underway, led by the police station of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and the judicial police of Bayonne.
