Dr. Reem Zughaiba, Reproductive Health Officer in the Directorate, explained to SANA reporter the importance of these activities, which aim to highlight the disease, its symptoms, ways to prevent it, the importance of early detection, and remind women of the need to take care of their health.

She stressed that the breast cancer early detection service is not limited to the pink month, but is part of the services provided by the department throughout the year, noting that educational and scientific seminars are held with the participation of doctors from various specialties such as oncology, general surgery, nutrition and gynecology.

Regarding the awareness sessions in partnership with associations and NGOs in rural areas and work sites such as schools, factories and others, Zoughaibeh indicated that they allow participants to view the experiences of other women and the treatment journey in all its details, and to receive instructions on methods of preventing disease.

Amal Daher, a radiology technician at the Obstetrics and Children's Hospital, confirmed commitment to the measures to prevent corona and receive reviews according to specific dates in order to preserve spatial distance and sterilize devices after the completion of filming between each woman and the other.

In her sixties, Najah Al-Wara, a housewife, said: “She has been regularly undergoing examinations and mammograms since she reached the age of forty to check on her health and safety.” She called on all women to visit the nearest health center and take a mammogram, which helps in detecting infection in the early stages.
