A foreign worker from Moldova was arrested today (Tuesday) on suspicion of murdering her patient in her 90s in the city of Hadera.
The background to the incident was examined and her body was sent for autopsy at the Abu Kabir Institute of Forensic Medicine.
The woman's family members came to her home and found her lifeless.
At first they thought it was a natural death, but in all this they called the police as promised.
When the police arrived, the suspicion arose that the woman did not die under natural circumstances, so they summoned the caregiver for questioning.
At the end of her interrogation, she was arrested on suspicion of murdering her patient.
The investigation was handed over to the unit for the fight against crime in the Menashe area, and tomorrow the caregiver will be brought to the Hadera court for a request to extend her detention.
