A taxi attack occurred in the Western District. At about 4 am today (12th), a man surnamed Wei (48 years old) drove a taxi to pick up a foreigner in his 30s and drove to the east street near the queen. When he was west of the main road, he had a dispute with the passengers for some reason. Some people suspected that he used a hard object or sharp weapon to attack the taxi driver and caused him serious neck injuries, heavy bleeding, and immediately fell into a coma; the foreign man involved in the case fled without a trace.
The ambulancemen rushed to the scene, immediately stopped the wounded from bleeding and gave them first aid, and were then taken to Queen Mary Hospital by ambulance.
The police blocked the on-site investigation and are now learning about the incident. The case is listed as "wounding" for follow-up. No one has been arrested yet and the passenger involved in the case is being pursued.
It is reported that the taxi meter at the time showed about 80 yuan fare.
A "8-shaped button" was left on the ground floor, with two masks and a duckbill cap hooked on.
