Today, the Turkish regime authorities arrested eight people under the pretext of their association with the preacher Fethullah Gulen, whom the authorities of Recep Tayyip Erdogan accuse of being behind the coup attempt in the country in 2016.
The Anadolu news agency quoted the Turkish regime's Defense Ministry as saying in a statement: "The Turkish security forces arrested eight people, and they were handed over to the gendarmerie forces of the Interior Ministry on suspicion of having links with the FETÖ."
Since the coup attempt in mid-July 2016, Erdogan's regime has launched a campaign of arrests and dismissals of all public sectors, which led to the arrest of tens of thousands of opponents and the dismissal or suspension of work of about 150,000 government employees, members of the army, police, judiciary, media and others.
