The Turkish Community in Germany (TGD) fears that people with a migration history will miss out on exploring a traffic light coalition.
The TGD federal chairman Gökay Sofuoğlu complained that none of the almost 30 people involved in the exploratory teams of the SPD, Greens and FDP had a history of migration.
According to Sofuoğlu, the composition of the Bundestag makes even less hope of a strong consideration of issues relating to immigration society.
Only a good eleven percent of members of the Bundestag have a history of migration.
If the proportion of the population is adequately represented, it would have to be 25 percent.
Before the general election, the Turkish community was in a positive mood, said Sofuoğlu.
It was seen that the issues of the immigration society were important to the parties and MPs and had become more important compared to 2017.
“That was before the election.
After the election, this readiness and this will to change must not suddenly disappear, ”warned Sofuoğlu.
This must be reflected in specific decisions - in terms of content and personnel.
