Germany will have to say goodbye to the sun in the next few days, instead the first onset of winter is expected.
A DWD expert announces the first snow in many places.
Offenbach - The summer may not have been hot enough for many sun lovers, but weather fans could now also have to say goodbye to a typically golden autumn.
As the German Weather Service now explains, a cold front is pushing over Germany.
The first snow cannot be ruled out either.
Winter onset in Germany!
Cold front pushes into the foreground
Many people are currently still defending themselves against thick winter jackets or scarves and hats, but as early as the start of the week, the cold air could cause the first onset of winter in Germany.
Because while on the weekend (October 9th and 10th, 2021) the sun made for brilliantly beautiful moments in many places, the golden October will be over at the start of the week.
As a spokesman for the DWD confirmed to the dpa on Sunday, a cold front is pushing its way between two highs.
This clears the way for not only changeable but also very cool weather.
As the DWD confirms, snow at higher altitudes cannot be ruled out either.
At least rain must be expected, especially from the center to the east.
In addition, the northwest and the coasts should expect rain and individual thunderstorms.
From Monday afternoon onwards, the rain front will also move south, where gusts could occasionally occur.
The maximum temperature is 10 to 15 degrees.

Weather in Germany: people can look forward to the first snow in many places
What will be announced on Monday is set to continue on Tuesday with increased showers and heavier rainfall.
Snow is to be expected more and more often above 1,300 meters, and in the night of Wednesday the snowfall line should drop to around 1,000 meters.
Then there will also be white moments for the first time this autumn in the highest elevations of the eastern low mountain range and in the Black Forest.
A 5 to 10 centimeter thick blanket of snow could form on the Alps.
This trend largely continued on Wednesday.
The temperatures would be between 5 and 14 degrees.
