Mobile vaccination teams are to be deployed across the country from this week after the vaccination centers in Lower Saxony are closed. This is to be expected in all health department districts during the week, announced Heiger Scholz, head of the state government's corona crisis team, on Tuesday in Hanover. The approximately 50 vaccination centers nationwide were closed almost two weeks ago, and the more than 130 mobile teams and resident doctors are now taking over the vaccinations against the corona virus in the state.
Hanover - According to a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, around 1.3 million people in Lower Saxony are older than 70 years and can therefore be vaccinated again against the coronavirus - provided that the second vaccination was more than six months ago.
This vaccination is still free of charge for citizens.
According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), 50,717 people in Lower Saxony have received such a booster vaccination so far.
