There's no gentle way to ask this, so let's just put it this way: What the hell happened to Tom Cruise?
The player was spotted last weekend at a baseball game and looked different than usual, with many suspecting he had undergone a cosmetic procedure on his face.
The 59-year-old Hollywood star was seen sitting in the crowd, during a game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants last Saturday.
Photos and videos documenting him smiling and waving to fans created a web discussion around how his face did not really resemble those of the attractive ones we knew.
"What closes with the swollen squirrel's face?", Wrote on Twitter a not particularly refined tweet.
"Tom Cruise, what have you done to the amazing face?", Exclaimed another user.

"I was so disappointed when I saw your face in the stands at the game! Stop injecting things into your face please!", Another tweet analyzed the drastic change in more logical tools.
"Tom did something before him, or he put on weight," he wrote.
"But this is still our Tom!".
Another calculator wrote a slightly less rational tweet: "What the hell is going on with your face?", It read.
"Did he experience an allergic reaction?".
Among the plethora of blunt, hysterical and ridiculous commenters, there were also those who defended the actor.
"Listen, I do not like Tom Cruise at all," read a more humane tweet, "but I'm really tired of people on Twitter slandering people for fluctuations in their weight. People are allowed to gain weight and lose weight and that's really none of your business. Stop the shamanophobia!"
"He still looks great for his age," wrote another tweet.
"He's almost 60, for God's sake."
Alongside all this, there were also conspiracy theorists and just plain stupid, who determined that this was a double of the actor, and not Cruz himself.
