Assistant Commander (Criminal) Superintendent Xian Guoming of the Western District Police told the case that the deceased's right carotid artery was obviously cut by a sharp object. The wound was 7 cm long and 1 to 2 cm deep. The injuries were serious and he was in a coma when lying near the taxi. Call for help.

Passers-by heard the call for help, and personnel rushed to the scene to send the taxi driver to the hospital for rescue. Unfortunately, he was certified dead at 6:17 in the morning.

Foreign assailants are still at large.

Xian Guoming said that the police had seized taxi recorders and a suspected murder knife with a blade length of 16 cm. He described the murderer as "very violent." He did not rule out that he had weapons on his body and appealed to the public to be careful.

If you see the trace of the murderer, you should stay in a safe place and contact the police if feasible.

The police are looking for a murderer. He is white-skinned, a mixed-race man, aged about 30 to 35 years, 1.8 meters tall, black hair, and believed to be wearing a short-sleeved black T-shirt, dark shorts and shoes.

In the morning, the police cordoned off the area around the scene and the nearby Mui Fong Street sitting-out area and public toilets to track down whether the assailant had left behind the murder weapon and other evidence.

A large number of crime squad detectives and Tactical Unit police officers arrived at the scene to investigate, some holding shields.

Police dogs and government laboratory personnel also came to search for evidence.

In the afternoon, the family members of the deceased were on the road offering sacrifices, and relatives and friends could not hide their grief and wept bitterly.

Xian continued that the scene was a taxi on the East Street near Queen's Road West, and the assailant boarded the taxi nearby.

There were a lot of blood stains on the vehicle and the nearby ground, some of which were near the ground and some distance away from the taxi. We are investigating whether the blood stain belongs to the gangster or the taxi driver.

The police tracked down and found that the assailant entered Meifang Street along the back alleys of the east street and abandoned some exhibits including coats, masks and towels in public toilets, all stained with blood.

When the police dog team was dispatched for further investigation, it was found that the assailant fled from Meifang Street to Queen's Road West and then to Main Street, and then disappeared.

The police stated that all the belongings of the deceased were either on the scene or on his body.

The assailant had entered and exited some nearby hotels after the incident, and it is not excluded that it was a guest.

In addition, a rucksack was found on the rooftop near the scene, containing a blood-stained mask and a kitchen knife with a blade length of 16 cm. "It is a very dangerous weapon" and is believed to be a murderous knife.

Regarding the motives of the perpetrators, the police did not rule out any possibility, including whether they were mentally ill or had an extremely cruel tendency at the time of the crime.
