The Homs Chamber of Industry announced today the establishment of a renewable energy company in the industrial city of Hasiya, after it was incorporated in accordance with the provisions of the new Investment Law No. 18 of 2021.

The company aims to establish a power plant from renewable energies with a capacity of up to 100 megawatts, to be implemented in stages, in order to determine the percentage of each partner’s contribution, according to the Secretary of the Commercial Register in the Homs Chamber of Industry, Muwaffaq Al-Khayal, noting that the company’s center is in the industrial city of Hassia, where it has received many facilities, including Provide the land on which the company is to be established by the industrial city of Hassia and the required area as needed and in stages, and the payment to the founders will be in stages according to need according to the progress of project implementation.

Engineer Bassam Al-Saeed, head of the renewable energies committee in the chamber, explained that the founders are the Homs Chamber of Industry and a number of investors and factory owners in the industrial city of Hasiya, and they enjoy stimulating advantages, including customs exemptions for imports, machinery, equipment and production lines, in addition to a tax reduction of 50 percent from income tax for ten years for the project and an exemption The establishments of the industrialists are part of the electrical rationing program, because the company will generate electricity from renewable energies at a rate of at least 30% of the consumed capacity, as a catalyst for industrialists to enter strongly in the field of electricity generation with renewable energies.

Al-Saeed pointed out that the subscription door is still open for industrialists wishing to submit a subscription application, noting that the number of subscribers today has reached 10 industrialists who have subscribed to 44 percent of the company's founding capital for a total amount of two billion and 200 million Syrian pounds.
