With Arab and international participation, the first phase of the November Trail Cycling Race, which is held by the General Sports Federation in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Lattakia Governorate, was launched today on the Lattakia-Aleppo New Highway axis.

In a statement to SANA, the head of the Cycling Federation, Khaled Kokash, explained that all measures and health safety measures were taken for all the 65 participants in the race, representing 10 male and 6 female teams from Sudan, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, three Russian teams and the same from Syria.

Kokash added that the race today includes the anti-clock teams for the male category, starting from the Al-Bassa highway node on the axis of the new Lattakia-Aleppo highway for a distance of 55 km to the Salma Bridge and returning to the starting point at the Al-Bassa node, and for the female category the anti-clock teams for 42 km from the Al-Bassa node to the Zubar bridge and back To the starting point, there will be an individual competition against the clock for females for a distance of 21 km and males for a distance of 42 km. Tomorrow, the general singles stage for women will be held for a distance of 55 km, and on the following day the general singles competition for males will be held for a distance of 84 km.

It is noteworthy that the last day of the event will include a big race in which 150 male and female players will participate, from Slunfeh to Al-Hafeh, which will include artistic performances.
