The SPD in Wolfratshausen has a new leadership: Ingrid Schnaller is to continue the local association.

After her election, she was combative.

Wolfratshausen - “It is time for new forces to bring new ideas”: With these words Peter Fasching declared his retirement.

Before the elections to the board of directors of the Wolfratshauser SPD local association in the Flößerei tavern, the outgoing chairman was self-critical.

"There is still room for improvement in the cooperation between the city council faction and the local association," admitted Fasching.

SPD in Wolfratshausen is repositioning itself after the federal election

His unanimously elected successor Ingrid Schnaller (previously deputy chairwoman) wants to improve the relationship between the parliamentary group and the local club.

"For me it's not about being right, but about good solutions for the city," said the former chairwoman of the Wolfratshausen advertising group.

The 48-year-old wants to campaign primarily for affordable rents and living space in the Loisachstadt.

You can still remember times when around 20 percent of your income was enough for rent.

"Unfortunately that is over," regretted Schnaller.

Newly elected SPD board: ex-mayor Berchtold continues

The new local SPD chairwoman receives support from Vice-Chief Holger Hohmann as well as Treasurer and Ex-Mayor Reiner Berchtold and Secretary Lothar Link.

Peter Fasching remains on the board as one of five assessors.

Just like the 20 members present in the rafting inn, he hopes for a rejuvenation of the local association.

After all, half of the 67 comrades have passed the age of 70.

The proportion of women of 38 percent could also be increased, said Fasching.

Bundestag election: SPD with new self-confidence before traffic light negotiations

The former member of the Bundestag, SPD district chairman Klaus Barthel, demanded more self-confidence from his party friends, not least because of the recent success of the Social Democrats in the Bundestag election - and warned against excessive concessions to the possible coalition partners FDP and the Greens. "We have to be clear about the fact that we are the strongest party in Germany," said the 65-year-old. Barthel worries that part of the lower-income class did not vote on September 26th. “We stand up for their interests,” emphasized Barthel. According to the Berchtold district council, this also includes a municipal Wolfratshauser district clinic. "That should also be worth a deficit of two to three million euros annually to the district council," said the former town hall chief. At the end of an evening full of debates, the new SPD local chairwoman Schnaller shouted energetically to the comrades: "Get to work!"
