Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, his American counterpart Anthony Blinken and United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayd met tonight (Wednesday) in Washington.
This, as part of Lapid's first visit since taking office.
"We discussed the tripartite meeting on the Iranian issue and the situation in Syria," Blinken said.
The US Secretary of State added that "relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates are thriving. We support the historic agreements and are committed to continuing to push for more agreements. Normalization should be a force for progress in the region as well as between Israel and the Palestinians."
Lapid said that "our goal is to work with the Palestinian Authority so that every Palestinian child has the opportunity for a good life."

The UAE foreign minister said: "This meeting demonstrates the United States' commitment to build bridges between two successful countries. The more successful the relationship between Israel and the UAE, the more I believe it will convince Israelis and Palestinians that peace can be achieved."
The tripartite working meeting is a significant move by the Biden administration in pushing for the "Abraham Agreements."
When the peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates was signed, one of the two countries' ambitions was to also make joint moves with the United States in the political, security and economic spheres.

The meeting is being held against the background of the approval of the local planning and construction committee for the expropriation of 200 dunams of land on Givat Hamatos, which is located beyond the Green Line.
This, just one day after the meeting between Lapid and Vice President Kamla Harris in Washington.
"We also agree that the Palestinians should have a good life and hope," Lapid said.
On his first visit to Washington since taking office, Lapid met with senior Biden administration officials, including U.S. Vice President Camela Harris, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and representatives of the two major parties, Democrats and Republicans.
