This year too, “Dachau Reads” took place - with great success.
"The effort was definitely worth it," says the head of the Dachau cultural office, Tobias Schneider, happily.
“The colorful and varied program reached a broad and even supraregional audience.” Schneider even speaks of the “most successful Dachau- reads series of events that has ever existed”.
Prominent guests presented their works over a period of five days. Among other things, the multi-award-winning screenwriter and writer Doris Dörrie presented the book “Live, write, breathe”. The multiple award-winning writer and psychologist Helga Schuberts was represented with her novel "Vom Auferstand: A Life in Stories", guests were also the bestselling author Steffen Kopetzky with "Monschau" and the writer Judith Hermann with her book "Daheim". The editor and book author Helmut Zeller and the author and freelance journalist Eva Gruberová performed in pairs - both from Dachau. Together they presented their book entitled “Diagnose: Judenhass. The return of a German disease ”.
The German children's book author Alice Pantermüller came to Dachau to entertain younger bookworms.
She presented the meanwhile 17th volume of her book series “Mein Lotta-Leben.
