In connection with damaged and stolen election posters for the federal election, a total of 245 criminal offenses were recorded in Rhineland-Palatinate.
That is 76 more cases than in the 2017 federal election, said the Rhineland-Palatinate State Criminal Police Office of the German Press Agency.
For the Bundestag election this year, most of the crimes were registered in the area of the Rheinpfalz Police Headquarters, based in Ludwigshafen.

Of the 245 cases (2021), 189 were recorded for damage to property and 28 for theft.
In 34 cases, a suspect could be identified, it said.
In 2017, there were a total of 169 cases of property damage 103 times and thefts 33 times on the list.
And: In 47 cases, investigations led to a suspect.
