Al-Quds Charitable Society, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, organized today an event entitled (As much as the giving, the fulfillment is) at the Karama House for the Elderly in Damascus.
The Executive Director of the Al-Quds Association, Nawras Jalbout, explained to SANA that the event is a message to the elderly that we are on their side and are loyal to what they have given us and strive to make them happy.
In turn, the Director of Social Affairs and Labor in Damascus, Nazik Rahma, praised the initiatives of associations that concern the elderly and seek to add joy and joy to their lives, pointing out that there is a special department for the care and protection of the elderly in the ministry.
The director of the home, George Saada, stated that such activities contribute to breaking the routine for the elderly, and they receive a great interaction from the inmates and make them feel that there are people who are interested in them. Joy to their hearts, noting that the home constantly organizes civil and social activities for the elderly.
It is noteworthy that the Al-Karama Home for the Elderly has received elderly people of different ages since 1983 and provides them with accommodation services, medical and psychological care in cooperation with a number of NGOs.
